Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born 25th August, 1949) is an American TV chef who is a popular personality. She also was a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She is the host of The Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and is co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell, with her signature spiky blonde locks and her edgy personality on Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Cook series, provides an easy and straightforward techniques for home cooks. Chef Burrell worked for a time in New York at top restaurants and studied the Italian culinary tradition and its landscape. Additionally, she competed as Iron Chef America on Food Network. Growing up in the Upstate region of New York Chef Burrell was infatuated by food. The Culinary Institute of America sparked her interest in restaurant management after she earned an English/Communications degree at Canisius College Buffalo NY. I loved every minute during my time of The Culinary Institute of America she states. Culinary Institute of America was a great location to learn. Following graduation, Chef Burrell spent a time in Italy attending the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners as well as working for La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one-Michelin-starred restaurant in Tuscany. Her time spent in Italy has helped her understand and appreciate the Italian philosophy and culture, and has made an impression on her food and culinary experience. Burrell was the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board participant, with the goal of to improve the lives of children who face obstacles. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation (JDRF) celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. She speaks about her cooking love and imparts her knowledge of the culinary world, as she regularly goes on trips across the USA in both her roles as speaker and mentor. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has often said that I am extremely fortunate to have the opportunity to share my passion in life with others.
